Process

A structured path from idea to shipped product, with no surprises along the way.

Five clear milestones. Defined costs. Decision points at every stage.

Why

Most product failures don't happen because the idea was wrong. They happen because decisions were made too late, in the wrong order, or without the right information. Our process gives you clear decision points and structured milestones so your money is spent at the right time, on the right things.

What

We manage the entire journey. Research, design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, and supply chain as one unified team. No handoffs between agencies, no gaps between disciplines, no moments where your product falls between the cracks.

How

Every project follows our 5 Ds. Discover, Define, Design, Develop, Deliver. Each milestone has a defined scope, a clear output, and a go/no-go decision point before the next stage begins. You stay in control. We stay accountable with the same ex-Dyson team at every stage..

01

Discover

Understand the opportunity before you invest in it.

We start by understanding your idea, your market, and your commercial goals. Through research and early validation, we identify opportunities, challenges, and risks, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. Before a single sketch is drawn, we make sure you're spending money on the right problem.

02

Define

Explore the options and commit to one idea.

With the research behind us, we explore the idea in breadth, sketching, modelling and building working prototypes to pressure-test directions. We narrow many possibilities down to a single, committed concept, tested against form, function and cost before any detailed engineering begins. We don't move forward until the direction is agreed, understood and commercially sound.

03

Design

Engineer it to actually work.

This is where the chosen concept becomes a working product. Our engineers develop the detailed 3D CAD, resolve the mechanical and functional design, and prove it through functional prototypes and testing. Every decision is made with manufacture in mind, so the CAD that leaves this stage is production-intent and ready for design for manufacture. Nothing is engineered in isolation from how it will be made.

04

Develop

Engineer it for the factory floor, not just the studio.

By this stage, the product has already been validated through prototyping. Develop is about preparing everything for production, detailed engineering, final specifications, design for manufacturability, and production-ready documentation. Compliance, tolerances, and manufacturing processes are locked down so that when it reaches a factory, there are no questions left to answer. This is the stage that separates products that ship confidently from products that ship with fingers crossed.

05

Deliver

From factory floor to your customer's hands.

We manage the transition into production, sourcing the right manufacturing partners, overseeing tooling, running quality checks, and ensuring your product is built to the standard it was designed to. We stay involved through first production runs and beyond, because a product isn't finished when the design is signed off. It's finished when it's on the shelf.
