The challenge
Water pitchers are a product type almost everyone owns and almost nobody loves. The default is a translucent plastic body, a snap fit lid that leaks when you pour too fast, and a cartridge that needs replacing sooner than you remember. Rorra's customers already trust the brand to improve the water they drink, so the pitcher needed to meet a much higher standard than the typical filtered pitcher.

The approach
We built the pitcher around a robust vessel geometry so the pour feels stable even when it is nearly empty. The filter sits in a sealed upper chamber, with a high surface area media path, tuned to Rorra’s countertop performance targets. The spout is a machined profile that cuts the stream cleanly without the usual dribble down the side.

Materials were chosen for how they feel in the hand: a solid borosilicate glass body paired with stainless steel at the top, base and handle connections, with plastic used only where strength, grip and precision are required. A subtle indicator provides a quick view of the remaining filter life and battery level. Designed to live on the dining table rather than be hidden away, the pitcher makes a feature of its everyday presence.

Our role
Enki supported the industrial design and engineering, hardware development and design of the Rorra Pitcher; from the filter chamber architecture and spout profile to the lid mechanism and material engineering. Working closely with Rorra’s team, we supported the product from supplier selection through to production.
